Athanasios Aris Panagopoulos is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at California State University, Fresno and a Research Affiliate with UC Berkeley. He is dedicated to prototype new intelligent Internet of things technology to shape the urban landscape of tomorrow, and is excited to share respective knowledge and enthusiasm to inspire future generations. His interests include a wide range of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science related fields, and more specifically:

Athanasios has worked with several institutions, agencies and firms in a number of multi-million dollar collaborative research endeavors and has strong experience in leading interdisciplinary research and managing diverse teams. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Southampton, UK, in 2016, and also spent two years conducting postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley. He also holds a diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Technical University of Crete, Greece.
